Limpopo Region, South Africa, 2015 - The director of Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center had raised this older cheetah since she was a cub and was the only cheetah he trusted being this close to 9 year old Seren. She alternated licking Seren’s arm while he brushed her, and looking for prey from this vantage point on top of the truck.

Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, 2016 - A boiling hot spring flows into the ocean in front of Seren, and visible behind are the active Rabaul volcanoes, Vulcan and Tavurvur. The provincial capital of Rabaul was destroyed in the 1994 Vulcan eruption that buried the harbour city in ash and caused the majority of the buildings to collapse. Subsequently, the city was moved 12 miles away to Kokopo, and though Vulcan has since been quiet, Tavurvur has had continual intermittent eruptions.
